1987 928 S-4 5-speed, Flawless original! 52k. $24,500.
Factory ordered in Classic India Guards Red paint with black full leather interior, and optioned with the 5 speed manual transmission, electric sunroof, protective side moldings, Blaupunkt Reno Cassette Radio, Amplifier system, and Hi-Fi sound package. Of course, it was already standardly equipped with ABS brakes, climate control air and heat, power windows, mirrors, door locks, steering & brakes, with heated windshield washer nozzles, mirrors, and rear window, fully tinted glass all around, with graduated windshield tint, full 8 way power seats, adjustable steering wheel, rear window wiper, halogen headlights, halogen fog/driving lights, front & rear spoiler, high pressure headlight & windshield washer system, electric rear window defogger, central locking system, locking wheel device, intermittent wipers, storage compartment in doors, a locking and climate controlled glove box, cassette and coin holders, on-board computer system, backlit gauges, energy absorbing steering column, leather wrapped 4 spoke sport steering wheel, leather shifter/boot, split fold down rear seats, cargo net, and frankly, I could go on, and on.... On the mechanical side, the list is just as impressive. The legendary high silicon beryllium aluminum 5.0 liter dual overhead cam, 4-valve/cylinder alloy engine was tuned to 316 HP, and 317ft. lb. of torque! Kept in check by it's transistorized ignition system, and the AFC (Air Flow Control) fuel injection system, it could propel this stately sports car to 165 mph, and 0-60 in just 5.7 seconds, with a 1/4 mile time of 14.1! The suspension system was also quite unique, aided by the near 50/50 balance of it's front engine, rear transaxle design, the fully independent suspension was set up with negative steering roll radius up front to maximize road feel and directional control, while the rear suspension was set up with a unique toe-control link system, which, would at the precise high moment of inertia, direct the rear wheels to to-in to the corner! Combined with the superior braking from the massive 4-piston internally vented 4 wheel disc brakes, set up in a dual diagonal dual master cylinder set up with a variable brake proportioning valve, and computer controlled Anti Lock Braking, these cars could stop and go, in ways that are still to this day quite impressive for a 3,500 lb. luxury sports car. Come check it out! This particular example has led a seriously "charmed" life! It's still wearing all of it's original Glasurit paint,and I might add, quite well! The interior is just stunning, with no signs of wear anywhere, and the service history is meticulous! Every service is up to date, and it has a thorough history. Every book, service record, spare tire, jack, tool kit, air compressor, plastic gloves, tire bag, and plastic drop cloth, touch up paint(unused), cargo net, cargo cover, from new. Also comes with it's own car cover, and service apron for the mechanic to place over the fenders! Truly as new as they get for a 22 year old!
