| “Direct descendents of Porsche’s RS/RSR warriors these wide body normally aspirated 911s are in a league of their own (Porsche Panorama May, 05)”.. .However this one is SUPERCHARGED. For sale is a real Turbo Look (M491 option) Carrera Cabriolet. This is not an after market body kit. Few were built as coupes, fewer still as Cabs. And precious few have survived not being pressed into action as a pure track car. All the wonderful 930 bits, brakes, suspension, chassis upgrades and tire, with the 3.2 engine well known for being ‘bullet proof”. The ‘88 is the next to the last year of the model run. I am the second owner of this car, and it has my very reliable and well cared for daily driver since purchased in 1992. Beyond the usual options eg: cruise control, original stereo, premium speakers etc. After market bits include a Dino Wheel, Recarro drivers seat, front shock tower brace and roll bar (really improves stiffness and handling). Engine enhancements include a performance kit from German Auto in Knoxville Tn. Including a mass flow meter, Paxton supercharger, and a custom chip to bring it all together. In cockpit boost gauge confirms up to 4bar. This car was set up for the track but not raced (2 DE,s only)-I Rapidly became distracted by sailing..at least the whole family could be involved. The Porsche name for the body color is Nougat, the top is Chocolate, and the interior is Caramel; a very sweet combination indeed.Original engine parts, steering wheel and driver’s seat may be available. |
